The Qatar Social Work Foundation (QSWF) has signed a funding agreement with the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) to support the launch of the Social Researcher Award, reinforcing its commitment to promoting scientific research in the social sector and encouraging research that contributes to the development of social services and evidence-based policymaking.

Under the agreement, DAAM will provide financial support for the organization and launch of the award, which targets school and university students, researchers, academics, and professionals working in the social sector. The award aims to identify and nurture research talent, develop research skills, and encourage innovative research that addresses societal challenges.

Shaima Ahmed Al Jannahi, Director of Strategic Planning at the Qatar Social Work Foundation, said:

"The launch of the Social Researcher Award, with the support of the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), reflects the Fund’s role as a strategic partner in enabling the Foundation and its affiliated centers to implement impactful initiatives and high-quality projects that contribute to social development and strengthen their positive impact on society. The award embodies the Foundation’s commitment to advancing research in the social sector and encouraging studies that contribute to the development of social policies and programs in line with national development priorities while enhancing the quality of services provided to the community."

She added:

For his part, Yousef Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of Shared Services at the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), said:
